We are now recruiting for a Procurement and Contracts Officer to lead on MML’s procurement activities, ensuring MML has appropriate contracts in place to deliver a safe and secure, reliable and sustainable operation.

In addition to this, more specifically as our Procurement and Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring contracts are in place for support services to be procured externally.
  • Working with MML functional leads to ensure specifications are in place to support the procurement process.
  • Carrying out day to day administration of contracts, liaising with contractors’ representatives, managing change and arranging and chairing contract meetings where required.
  • Managing our MML internal procurement process policy and ensuring all relevant stakeholders are consulted.
  • Managing the process of obtaining quotations for goods and services.
  • Carrying out due diligence regarding supplier capability and suitability.
  • Providing support to functional leads with procurement of high value materials.
  • Raising purchase requisitions on Business World and receipting completed works. 

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have:  

  • Previous experience in a similar procurement supply chain role.
  • Level 3 or Level 5 CIPFA / CIPS or equivalent relevant qualification. 
  • Experience in selecting and appointing suppliers.
