West Midlands Metro is proud to invite you to our Apprentice Open Evening a unique opportunity to explore our engineering world, meet our team, and discover what life is like as an apprentice at the heart of the Midlands’ light rail network.

Whether you're just finishing school, changing careers, or simply curious about where an engineering apprenticeship could take you, this event is the perfect place to begin your journey.

What to Expect:

• Welcome and Introduction
• Hear from our leadership team, including Ed Williams (Head of Engineering), Sean Walker (Infrastructure Manager), and Matthew Knight (Rolling Stock Manager), as they share our vision for the future.
• Interactive Engineering Displays & Q&A
• Get hands-on with some of the tools and materials used in our work and ask questions directly to the team.
• Apprenticeship Programme Overview
• Learn about the structure, support, and development opportunities within our apprenticeship scheme, presented by Claire Scrimshire, Head of HR & OD.
• Guided Depot Tour
• Take a behind-the-scenes look at our Potters Lane Depot and see where your future career could begin.
